William Eaton (long distance runner)

William Eaton ( William Edward "Bill" Eaton; born April 20, 1909 in Salford ; † April 1, 1938 ibid.) Was a British long-distance runner .

At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he did not finish in the top 20 over 10,000 m .

At the Cross of Nations he won bronze in 1935 and gold in 1936.

In 1936 he became English champion over ten miles .
