William G. Dillon (* 1957 ) is an American amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer. He is the founder of the Fort Bend Astronomy Club in Stafford in the US state of Texas .
As part of his observations, he discovered a total of 39 asteroids between 1996 and 2009 , 34 of them together with other astronomers.
The asteroid (78393) Dillon was named after him on May 4, 2004.
