William Latimer (also William le Latimer ) († 1268 ) was an English nobleman.

William Latimer was a crown vassal with estates in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire . As a trusted knight in the service of King Henry III. he served as sheriff of Yorkshire from 1254 to 1260 and from 1266 to 1267 . From 1258 to 1265 he was also administrator of the fallen crown fiefs north of the Trent .

Latimer had several children with his wife, whose identity is unknown, including:

His two sons married the sisters Alice and Christiana Ledet , who inherited their father Walter Ledet's estates in Northamptonshire . Latimer's main heir was his eldest son William, while the younger son John was able to establish a branch of the family in Braybrooke , Northamptonshire through the inheritance of his wife Christiana .
