William Lewis Montague

William Lewis Montague (* 1831 in Belchertown , Massachusetts ; † 1908 ) was an American Romanist .

life and work

Montague studied at Amherst College , earned his master's degree in 1858 and taught French there, from 1865 as a professor. From 1868 to 1891 his teaching area included French, Italian and Spanish, from 1892 only Italian.
