William McDowell is an American preacher and gospel musician.
biography
William McDowell is from Ohio . At the age of five he learned to play the piano, at 13 he took part in church services as a drummer and at 16 he played the organ. At the age of 18 he also led church services.
In 2001 McDowell went to Orlando to work for musician and preacher Ron Kenoly as musical director. There he opened a recording studio and released his first album called The Reason I Live . Three years later, he became a service leader in Lake Mary himself and was appointed pastor in 2007 .
His second album, a double live CD entitled As We Worship , was completed in 2009. It became a huge success and reached number three on the US gospel chart. The following year he recorded a second live double album with Arise , which not only reached number one on the gospel charts in 2011, but was also successful in the official sales charts . Two songs from it, I Give Myself Away and I Won't Go Back , reached number one on the gospel song charts. Another two years later, Withholding Nothing was released, the next double album, which reached number 28 on the official album charts.
