William Rogers (* around 1545; † around 1605) was an English engraver .

Rogers was the first Englishman to make a significant contribution to the art of graphics . He probably learned his trade in the Netherlands . He was known for his portraits and covers. Rogers painted the portraits of many important political figures of his time, such as Queen Elizabeth I Tudor , Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex and the French King Henry IV.
