Willibald Gföhler

Willibald Gföhler (born June 27, 1955 in Krems an der Donau ) is an Austrian watchmaker, lawyer and former politician ( Greens ). Gföhler was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1994 to 1996 .

After primary school, Gföhler attended a federal high school and graduated from the federal technical school for watchmakers with the master's examination. After the external Matura, Gföhler studied law at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1992 with the academic degree Mag. Iur. from. Gföhler has been working as a self-employed master watchmaker since 1976 and completed his legal practice from 1992 to 1993 after completing his studies. He was a trainee lawyer in 1994 and, from 1997, an administrative lawyer at the city council of Krems. From 1998 he worked at the Center for Banking and Finance at Danube University Krems and is currently head of the Center for Finance / Department for Economics and Management at Danube University Krems.

Gföhler co-founded the Green Alternative Krems in 1987 and was a member of the municipal council from 1987 to 1995 and from 1997. He was a board member of the Green Education Workshop in Lower Austria and the education and culture spokesman for the Green Parliamentary Club. He represented the Greens in the National Council from November 7, 1994 to January 14, 1996.
