The Willms Fleisch GmbH is a medium-sized company from Ruppichteroth for the production of sausage and meat products.

founding

The company was founded in 1970 by Werner Willms in the Bröleck district . 500 employees are now permanently employed there.

Extensions

At the beginning of 2007, Willms Fleisch GmbH took over the Olaf GmbH production facility in Weißwasser / Oberlausitz from bankruptcy. This has 350 employees in the core workforce. Since 2015, Willms Fleisch has been the majority owner of Düringer Fleischkontor, one of the largest German slaughterhouses.

In July 2017 Willms Fleisch GmbH bought "Bochumer Fleischhandel". The name of the company is to be continued and the staff to be taken over.

criticism

Willms Fleisch GmbH is said to have been involved in price fixing on the German meat market. In 2018, Willms Fleisch GmbH paid the fine imposed by the Federal Cartel Office in this context.
