Wim Eckert

Wim Eckert (* 1969 in Zurich ) is a Swiss architect and co-founder of E2A Architects .

Life

Wim Eckert studied architecture at the ETH Zurich (Diploma 1995). From 1995 to 1997 he worked in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) . He has been working as an architect in Zurich since 1997 and founded the office E2A Architekten (E2 stands for the two brothers, A for architecture) together with his brother Piet Eckert in 2001 . Wim Eckert taught at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and at the ETH Zurich. From 2009 to 2011 he was visiting professor for architecture and sustainability at the HafenCity University in Hamburg. Since 2014 he has been visiting professor at the USI Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio.
