Piet Eckert

Piet Eckert (* 1968 in Mumbai ) is a Swiss architect and co-founder of E2A Architects .

Life

Piet Eckert studied architecture at the ETH Zurich (Diploma 1994) and at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture in New York City. From 1995 to 1997 he worked in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) . He has been working as an architect in Zurich since 1997 and founded the office E2A Architekten (E2 stands for the two brothers, A for architecture) together with his brother Wim Eckert in 2001 . Piet Eckert taught at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and at the ETH Zurich. From 2009 to 2011 he was visiting professor for architecture and sustainability at the HafenCity University in Hamburg. Since 2014 he has been visiting professor at the USI Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio.
