Wim Luijpers

Wim Luijpers (* 1970 ) is a Dutch runner , running coach and author .

Life

Luijpers grew up in New Zealand . Luijper's father is a physiotherapist and trained in the Feldenkrais method . He brought Luijpers into contact with this teaching and encouraged him to experiment with his running technique. Luijpers' running style and philosophy are shaped by the "holistic running training" that he received from Arthur Lydiard and Jack Ralston. Luijpers holds degrees from the Institute For Human Movement and the American Feldenkrais Guild, both in the United States.

After a few years of top-class sport, he gives seminars in Europe. In collaboration with various co-authors from the world of sports journalism, he has published a number of guides in recent years.

He lives in Greece and New Zealand with his wife.
