The building Winchester Street 19, 21 is a Grade II listed house in Salisbury in England .

It is in the center of Salisbury on a corner on the north side of Winchester Street. Rollestone Street joins immediately to the east of the house.

Architecture and history

The two-storey plastered house dates back to around 1500. Renovations took place in the 17th century and around 1800. House number 19 on the left was later given a modern shop window on the ground floor. There are three entrances to number 21 on the south side, the middle entrance being a representative double-winged, six-field wooden door with an oval skylight. The door is flanked by Doric columns. The east gable of the house faces Rollestone Street. There is another door on the right side of the wing on Rollestone Street. Two roundels are arranged on the gable.

The cornice of the house is flat. On the roof there are four dormers facing south and two facing east. The roof of the wing along Winchester Street dates in part to around 1500. The roof structure along Rollestone Street dates from the 17th century.

It has been listed as a listed building since February 28, 1952 and is listed as a particularly significant building of general interest in category II * of the English list of monuments .

Inside the building there is a 17th century oak staircase that leads from the first floor to the attic.
