Wind technology society

The Windtechnologische Gesellschaft e. V. ( WtG ) was born on July 6, 1987 on the occasion of the 7th International Conference on Wind Engineering ( English 7th International Conference on Wind Engineering ) was founded. As a non-profit association based in Aachen , it has set itself the goal of promoting wind technology in the German-speaking area. In detail it is intended:

  • Promotion of communication between representatives from science, technology, business and authorities
  • Maintaining cooperation with national and international companies and organizations
  • Publication of reports and communications from the WtG
  • Organization of conferences and workshops to discuss open questions
  • Establishment of working groups in the DA-CH region

Committees

The committees of the Windtechnological Society are working groups that deal with a special topic of wind engineering with the aim of working out practical solutions to problems and, if necessary, publishing them in the form of guidelines. There are currently three active committees:

  • Committee 1: Structural Aerodynamics
  • Committee 2: Wind Comfort
  • Committee 3: Computational Wind Engineering
