The Windvane Hill (of English wind vane , wind vane ' ) is a small hill on the west side of the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises immediately northeast of the foothills of Cape Evans .
Participants in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott named it after the anemometer station they built here .
