Winkelhütten

Until 1928, Winkelshütten was a municipality in the Halle (Westphalia) district of the Prussian province of Westphalia . Today Winkelshütten belongs to the town of Borgholzhausen in the Gütersloh district .

The municipality of Winkelshütten, located northeast of the town center of Borgholzhausen, covered an area of ​​4.3 km² and was a scattered settlement without an actual village center.

history

The community of Winkelshütten emerged from an old farming community in the county of Ravensberg . Since the 19th century, Winkelshütten belonged to the Borgholzhausen district in Halle (Westphalia). On October 1, 1928, Winkelshütten was merged with Barnhausen and the Brincke estate to form the new municipality of Brincke, which was renamed Barnhausen in 1929 . With Barnhausen, Winkelshütten came to the town of Borgholzhausen on January 1, 1973.
