history
The cantons established during the French period (1806–1813) were replaced by the Landgemeindeordnung for the province of Westphalia in 1841 with effect from 1843 by offices, including the Borgholzhausen office . The offices were the second lowest administrative authority and were first of appointed by the Government Office men , out of office later mayors. After the Second World War, the heads of the offices were called Amtsdirektoren.
In 1928 the Brincke manor district was merged with the communities of Winkelshütten and Barnhausen to form the new community of Brincke , which was renamed Barnhausen in 1929 .
As part of the North Rhine-Westphalian regional reform , the municipalities of the office were merged into the city of Borgholzhausen on July 1, 1969 with the " Law on the reorganization of municipalities in the Halle district " of June 24, 1969.
