On July 1, 1969, the previously independent in office Borgholzhausen , County Halle (Westfalen) incorporated, located municipality in the city Borgholzhausen. On January 1, 1973 Hamlingdorf was attached to the Gütersloh district as part of the town of Borgholzhausen.
