criticism

In May 2010, workers poisoned themselves from a chemical called n -hexane , which is used to clean displays. Since it evaporates faster than alcohol , the manufacturing process is accelerated. The workers felt numb in their hands and feet and suffered from symptoms of fatigue . 137 employees had to be treated as inpatients. Some employees had to stay in the hospital for up to six months. Wintek paid comparatively high amounts of compensation to the workers who voluntarily left the company in order not to have to bear their treatment costs.
