Opening announcement of the Elektro-Cinematograph dated October 20, 1906

The winter garden at Fleischhauerstraße 13 was an entertainment venue operated by Leopold Lautenschläger with two event halls one above the other. Lautenschläger had the upper of these halls, 17.35 by 5.40 meters large, converted into a cinema in the autumn of 1906.

The opening of the electric cinematograph in the winter garden took place on October 20, 1906. Already on November 6, Lautenschläger informed the Lübeck police office that it was closing the cinema again. After this almost two-week interlude, the winter garden remained a pure entertainment venue with no film screenings.
