Active body is the part of the ammunition that is designed to act through kinetic energy .

Active bodies are z. B .:

• Projectiles from small arms
  • Full and partial jacketed bullets
  • Shotgun pellets
• Mass bullets
  • KE penetrator of the tank cannon
  • P-charge in anti-tank mine or detonator ammunition for artillery
• Fragments from grenades or warheads
• Exotics in today's weapon technology such as boomerang , arrow, spear, discus or the stone from David's sling
