The Economic Committee Germany e. V. (WBA) is a non-profit, politically independent European Federal Association founded in 2004 for the promotion of the social market economy, economy, education, work, with headquarters at Friedrichstrasse 171, 10117 Berlin .
Goal setting
The statutes of the association define the purpose of the association as follows:
“(...) raise public awareness of the importance employers have in solving one of the central tasks of society, namely providing [and securing] training and jobs. The Senate and Cooperation Members represent around twelve million employees in Germany. Declared goal: to encourage and challenge young people. "
Business award
The WBA awards the Goldjupiter business award . This prize has been awarded to some particularly outstanding medium- sized companies every year since 2004 .
