Business mediation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Business mediation describes the use of mediation in the context of economically motivated conflicts .

Demarcation

In business mediation, as in other forms of mediation, a 5-phase model is usually followed: clarification of the assignment, collection of topics, positions and interests, collection and evaluation of solution options and a final agreement. The designation business mediator, like the designation mediator , is not protected in Germany.

Possible uses

Possible fields of application for business mediation are both internal and inter-company conflicts, such as bullying problems or payment disputes . For the most efficient and smooth process possible, business mediation can also be used to accompany large projects and change management processes.

Legal framework (Austria)

In Austria, the Civil Law Mediation Act (ZivMediatG) is the legal basis for business mediation . It determines the maintenance of a list of registered mediators by the Federal Ministry of Justice after submission of the qualifications required for registration (professional training, trustworthiness, minimum age of 28 years, liability insurance). It also regulates the rights and obligations of registered mediators, the duty of confidentiality, suspension of deadlines and criminal provisions. In addition to this list, training institutions and courses are given by the Federal Ministry of Justice.
