Lutold von Kremsier , also Luthold von Kremsier (* before 1304, † after 1329) was selected as a bishop of Breslau from 1319 to 1325 .

Career

Lutold came from a middle-class family from Kremsier in Moravia . For 1304 he is proven as a scholaster of Glogau and canon of the Breslauer Kreuzstifts . Later he also became Canon of Breslau.

After the death of the Breslau bishop Heinrich von Würben , Lutold was elected on December 25, 1319 by one part of the Breslau cathedral chapter as his successor, while the other part chose Vitus von Habdank .

Since the Archbishop of Gniezno Janislaw had confirmed the election of Vitus von Habdank and is said to have carried out the episcopal ordination at this point , Lutold von Kremsier remained Elect von Breslau for the next six years .

After an objection was lodged against both elections at the papal chair in Avignon , Nikolaus von Banz was entrusted with the office of diocese administrator.

After lengthy disputes, Lutold renounced the diocese in 1325/1326. His year of death is said to have been after 1329.
