Economic simulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An economic simulation is a mostly simplified simulation of economic and business processes that is carried out using the EDP .

Business simulations are an important field of research in the field of business administration and economics . They are used for training purposes, but also for forecasting in operational planning . In this case, the simulations are aimed at creating an image that is as realistic as possible and that is only simplified in justified places. A training simulation, on the other hand, only needs to be appropriate with regard to the training objective.

Business simulations are also widely known as computer games with a primarily entertainment character. These use economic contexts as a supporting element of the game idea, but are greatly simplified and often underlaid with fantastic elements. They are therefore only suitable for training purposes to a limited extent.
