area of knowledge
A knowledge area is an “area of human knowledge in which there is scientific knowledge”.
Topic maps can be used to visualize the topics and terms in a field of knowledge and their interrelationships . In faculties such as philosophy, core areas , the basic techniques or processes of the entire department, and the internal specializations can be delimited, as well as the interdisciplinary areas.
The knowledge area is superordinate to the knowledge area , and knowledge objects are subordinate to it. For example, “ climate change ” is an object of knowledge in the “ climatology ” field. The term knowledge domain is a term for a specific field of knowledge .
Closely related to a field of knowledge is the relevant technical language that is developed in order to be able to respond to the specific requirements of a field of knowledge.
In addition to scientists, researchers and scholars, there are also other experts in fields of knowledge .
