Witheria is a Finnish thrash metal band from Espoo that was founded in 2000 under the name Fallout .
history
The band was formed in 2000 by singer Tuberculosis, guitarist Kusmar, drummer Rob Diver and guitarist Hardon. Together they recorded their first self-titled demo within a day. Subsequently, some members had to do their military service, which made the further progress of the band difficult. In 2001 the band changed their name to Witheria and recorded the demos Demo 02 and Pureditself in the following years .
In 2004, Witheria recorded their first promo demo at Seawolf Studios . However, the band could not achieve a record deal through this. The band took one more demo before heading to Jive Studio to record their 2005 debut album, Infernal Maze . The following year the album was released on Twisted Face Records . Performances throughout Finland followed while the group worked on their second album, Painful Escape , which was recorded at Jive Studio in 2007. The record was released in early 2009 via Stay Heavy Records . The album was advertised at the Finnish Metal Expo and various appearances followed, including one in London . In 2010 the band went to D-Studio to record their third album, Vanishing Order . The album was released in 2011 via Violent Journey Records .
style
The band plays Thrash Metal, some of which has influences from Progressive , Black and Melodic Death Metal .
