The Wittgenstein Studies are a philosophical journal devoted to the work and history of Ludwig Wittgenstein's impact .
The Wittgenstein Studies are published by the International Ludwig Wittgenstein Society. V. (ILWG), founded as the German Ludwig Wittgenstein Society e. V. 1993 in Passau . The main purpose of the company is to publish the magazine. In addition, the ILWG also organizes symposia with participants from home and abroad. From 1994 the ILWG also published the digital trade journal Wittgenstein Studies (WS). The last of these disk editions appeared in 1998. After that, the book form was changed, and since spring 2010 the society has been publishing in collaboration with De Gruyter.
In parallel to the Wittgenstein studies, the ILWG also published a Wittgenstein yearbook ( ISSN 1439-765X ) until 2007 . In addition to essays, the yearbook primarily contains reviews, bibliographies and other source-oriented articles on Wittgenstein research.
