Black gold

Black gold is a lexicalized metaphor for ( black or dark) fabrics that are called ' gold ' (in the sense of something valuable) because of their preciousness . Accordingly, there is also white gold .

In 1979 coal was the subject of the title "Black Gold", sung by Peter Alexander (authors: Ralph Siegel , Bernd Opinioner and Werner Schüler ).

Falco dealt with the subject of cocaine with the song "Mother, the man with the coke is there" , and here also uses the metaphor "Black Gold"
