Wizards & Warriors is the title of a series of platforming games for Nintendo consoles. You play in a fantasy setting. Three parts were released for the Nintendo Entertainment System , one part for the Game Boy . The games were developed by Rare and distributed by Acclaim Entertainment .

In the games, the knight Kuros has to solve various tasks in medieval castles. The second part had the additional title Iron Sword , the Game Boy spinoff Fortress of Fear and the third part Kuros: Visions of Power .

history

The first part was published in 1987 by Acclaim for the NES in the USA . In 1988 Jaleco Ltd published a Japanese version of it under the title 伝 説 の 騎士 エ ル ロ ン ド (Densetsu no Kishi Elrond); In 1990 a European version came on the market. In 1989 the second part called Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II for NES, 1990 Wizards & Warriors Chapter X: The Fortress of Fear for Game Boy and 1992 Wizards & Warriors III: Kuros - Visions of Power for NES.
