Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev
Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev (born August 14, 1943 in Moscow , Russian RSFSR ) is chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation .
On July 26, 1989 Lebedev was appointed by decree by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet as chairman of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR and confirmed on July 28, 1989 by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR . After the end of the Soviet Union, Vyacheslav Lebedev has been chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation since 1992. Lebedev was last confirmed in office in 1999, 2007 and 2012. On May 2, 2014, after the unification of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, he was re- confirmed as chairman by the Federation Council .
