Vladimir Anatolyevich Brezhnev ( Russian Владимир Анатольевич Брежнев ; born March 5, 1935 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † 1996 ) was a Russian ice hockey player .
Career
During his Soviet period, the defender played for HK CSKA Moscow . In total, he scored 45 goals in 350 games in the Soviet league . He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On November 25, 1960, he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1965. For the national team, he scored 17 goals in 57 international matches.
In 1965 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". On December 6, 1967, he played his last international match.
