Wladimir Jegorowitsch Jakowlew ( Russian Владимир Егорович Яковлев ; born March 8, 1959 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Russian journalist. He founded the Kommersant newspaper and was its editor-in-chief as well as managing director and owner of the publishing house.

biography

Yakovlev is the son of journalist Yegor Yakovlev and graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Lomonosov University .

The capital of the newspaper he founded was its independence, which lasted until it was sold in 1999 after liquidity problems arose for the publisher during the 1998 ruble crisis. The sale was made to the American Capital investment company controlled by Boris Berezovsky .

After several other activities, he founded The Age of Happiness in 2012 , a kind of social network for mature people, which provides advice and self-help and life support in online seminars.
