House Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 41 (Calvörde)

Location, description and history
This half-timbered house is on Geschwister-Scholl-Strasse ( Hünerdorf ) not far from the former Calvörde ice cellar . The building was built in the late 18th century and has a large cellar. The half-timbered house is two-story and has a mansard roof . Originally the building was a large arable dwelling house, but in the 20th century it was made into two separate houses. Both parts of the half-timbered building have a flight of stairs to the respective front door . This small-town architecture is of great craftsmanship.
As part of a renovation program in 2000, the house was completely repaired. Today both halves of the house are used as rental apartments.
