The house at Kumpfmühler Straße 42 is a house in the Regensburg district of Kumpfmühl . It is a listed building .

history

The building is first mentioned in writing in the building files around 1833, but it is certainly older. The building makes a baroque impression. The State Office (BLfD) estimates the construction at "around 1800" . The building is already drawn in at this point in the land register plan of 1811. At that time, the land belonged to the Niedermünster Abbey , which had extensive garden areas there and probably used the building for the management and administration of the gardens.

The ground floor was rebuilt and redesigned several times.
The building was extensively renovated in 2007. An extension (presumably a carriage shed ) on the west side of the building was demolished.

architecture

There is a baroque brick vault in the cellar. On the ground floor, the room in the northeast of the building has been preserved with the original vault. The building has two full storeys, which are divided on the gable ends by four window axes and on the north and south sides by five window axes. The upper full storey is closed off by a cornice opposite the roof (not on the west gable). The roof is designed as a mansard / hipped roof . Three dormer windows are built into the mansard roof , the brick gable sides have four window axes like the upper floor. The windows are framed with stucco and color-contrasting round profiles.
