The Fehrfeld residential group in Bremen , Ostliche Vorstadt district, Steintor district , Fehrfeld 5–22, was built from 1873 onwards. This group of buildings has been a listed building since 1979 .

The short street Fehrfeld leads in a north-south direction from Humboldtstraße to the streets Vor dem Steintor and Linienstraße . It was named in 1906 as a field name after a distant field of the farmers of the Pagentorn field market. It is a remnant of the old route from the Steintor to Schwachhausen.

history

The plastered, three-storey houses were built for a middle class from 1873 in the era of historicism . The planners are not known.
The buildings on the east side No. 5 to 22 belong to the ensemble.
The houses from No. 1 to 4, 23 to 32 and those on the west side are not listed.
Currently (2018) the buildings are largely used as residential buildings. House No. 7 is the "House of the Middle Family", a facility of the Bremen Social Services Office.

The often chosen house type Bremer Haus was built in Bremen between the mid-19th century and the 1930s. The basement as a basement , the deep building shape and the side entrance are typical .
