Wolf-Rüdiger Heilmann (born September 27, 1948 in Rendsburg ) is a German actuary .

Life

After graduating from school in Rendsburg in 1967, Heilmann studied mathematics in Hamburg; after graduating in 1974, he received a position as a research assistant at the Institute for Mathematical Stochastics . In 1977 he received his PhD with a dissertation on "Linear programming of stochastic dynamic decision models". rer. nat. PhD ; In 1979 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on "Special Models of Stochastic Optimization". In 1980 Heilmann received a professorship for actuarial mathematics at the University of Hamburg ; In 1985 he moved to the University of Karlsruhe as holder of the chair for insurance science. In 1991 he switched to the private sector and has been an honorary professor for insurance science at KIT since then . From 1991 to 1998 Heilmann was a member of the executive board of Karlsruher Lebensversicherung AG . In 1999 he moved to the board of directors of GE Frankona . From 2006 to 2008 Heilmann was managing director for the area of ​​life insurance / pension funds at the German Insurance Association (GDV).

Heilmann is a member of the Supervisory Board of the FWU Group and has also been a member of the Executive Committee since 2012.
