Wolf Christian von Wedel Parlow

Wolf Christian von Wedel Parlow (* 1937 in Prenzlau ) is a German economist and author .

Life

Wolf Christian von WedelParlow spent childhood and youth in the Uckermark, Bohemia and the Odenwald. After graduating from the Kurfürst-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Heidelberg in 1958, three years of military service followed. He completed the subsequent study of economics in Heidelberg and Kiel in 1965 with a diploma. Between 1966 and 1975 he was a research assistant or assistant at the Free University of Berlin, mainly at the Eastern European Institute there. This time was interrupted in 1967/68 by a one-year research stay at the University of Economics in Prague. In 1975 the doctorate to Dr. rer. pole. From 1975 to 2002 Wedel Parlow taught economics at the University of Wuppertal as an academic councilor or senior councilor (since 1989 Prof. under corporate law). Since retiring, he has been involved in literary writing and contemporary history research. Between 2008 and 2014 he was the spokesman for the Association of German Writers in the Bergisches Land.
