Wolfgang Aigner (journalist)

Wolfgang Aigner (* 1951 ) is a German journalist. He designed B5 aktuell , the news channel for Bavarian Broadcasting , and was its first editor-in-chief.

Life

Aigner started in 1974 in the Bavarian department of the BR. In 1988 he went to the USA as a radio correspondent for a year. Inspired by CNN, he then developed a pure news program for BR radio: in 1991, B5 finally went on air under Aigner's direction. In 2004, Aigner was promoted to Head of Family and Society. From 2006 he was program area manager Bayern 2.
