Wolfgang Baar

Wolfgang Baar (born June 5, 1933 in Hamburg ) is a German SPD politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

After school, Wolfgang Baar completed an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker and cabinet maker. The master craftsman's examination followed in 1965, followed by a job as a manager. From 1979 to 1981 he was managing director of the SPD district faction in Hamburg-Wandsbek and from 1981 as managing director of the SPD-Wandsbek. From 1993 to 1997 he worked as a department head in the “ Baugenossenschaft Dennerstraße-Selbsthilfe eG”.

As a Low German he worked for many years in the Wandsbek cultural area.

From 1992 to 2003 he was deputy chairman of the "Quickborn" association.

From 1966 to 1997 he was a member of the Wandsbek district assembly for the SPD.

He was a member of the Hamburg parliament in the 16th electoral term from 1997 to 2001. For his parliamentary group , he sat in the social committee and in the building and transport committee.
