Wolfgang Berkefeld

Wolfgang Berkefeld (born February 14, 1910 in Magdeburg , † 1972 in Hamburg ) was a German science journalist.

Berkefeld was born in 1910 as the son of the middle school teacher Hermann Berkefeld. After attending the König-Wilhelms-Gymnasium there, he studied philosophy, history and modern languages ​​in Halle and Berlin. In 1935 he did his doctorate with Paul Menzer at the University of Halle with investigations on the theory of the art of acting based on the research of Ludwig Klages for Dr. phil. As a science journalist, he contributed to the magazines Westermanns Monatshefte , Sonntagsblatt (Hamburg), Radius , Die Neue Gesellschaft and Deutsche Rundschau .
