Wolfgang Durner (geoecologist)

Wolfgang Durner (born July 20, 1958 in Neresheim ) is a German geoecologist . His research interests include measurement and simulation techniques in the field of water and matter transport in the unsaturated soil zone .

Life

Durner studied geoecology at the University of Bayreuth and environmental science at the University of East Anglia . After receiving his diploma and doctorate in Bayreuth, he did research as a postdoc at the Institute for Terrestrial Ecology at ETH Zurich and completed his habilitation in 1999 in Bayreuth for hydrology . In 2001 he accepted the professorship for geoecology and soil science at the TU Braunschweig .
