Wolfgang Hering (musician)

Wolfgang Hering (born October 23, 1954 in Mainz ) is a German musician, composer, producer, publicist and author of children's songs and specialist literature as well as seminar and training director and provider of music education seminars and training courses.

Life

Hering started his musical career in the Folk-Club Mainz at an early age and has been performing since he was 18 years old. He completed his studies in educational sciences with the minor subjects psychology, sociology and European ethnology at the Philipps University of Marburg with a focus on social pedagogy, media and cultural work. From 1979 he was a full-time youth worker and education officer.

He has been a freelance children's songwriter and book author since 1994, giving solo concerts and concerts with his group Trio Kunterbunt as well as seminars and guest performances at German schools abroad. He is an author in the Federal Association of Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreise e. V., member of Kindermusik.de and on the board of directors of VG Musikedition.
