Wolfgang Reindel

Wolfgang Reindel (* 1935 in Mannheim ; † 2001 in Weinheim ) was a German graphic designer and visual artist.

Career

Reindel grew up in the Ruhr area. He completed his studies at the Folkwangschule in Essen with Max Burchartz . In 1958 he had the first exhibition of works in the Grisebach Gallery in Heidelberg. He started working as a graphic designer. From 1962 he worked and lived in a village in the Odenwald near Weinheim. He participated in the development of system stands for trade fair construction as well as the planning and implementation of information and orientation systems (e.g. for federal horticultural shows ) with Heinrich Weiner. In addition, artistic works were created. From 1965 he made kinetic grids. From 1978 he began working with the medium of photography to depict spatial and temporal dimensions. He was a co-founder of the Free Art School and the Academy of Arts in Mannheim.
