Wolfgang Rummenigge

Wolfgang Rummenigge (born November 19, 1951 in Soest ) is a German entrepreneur and former soccer player . He is the older brother of Karl-Heinz and Michael Rummenigge . Unlike his two brothers, Wolfgang Rummenigge did not have much success as a football player.

Life

Wolfgang Rummenigge played from 1974 in the midfield of the then second division club DJK Gütersloh and played 58 games in which he scored 17 goals. After relegation from the second division in 1976, he played for the club until 1978. Until 2003 he ran a sports shop in Lippstadt, where he worked from 1976 and which he had taken over from his father in 1984. In 2003 he sold the sports shop and became manager of the Lippstadt golf club.

From 2007 to 2017 Rummenigge was managing director of the Bremen golf club Club zur Vahr . Since January 2019 he has been the sponsorship manager at the Bremen soccer club FC Oberneuland .
