Wolf month

Wolf month was a term for a winter month. The beginning date is sometimes 8 or 23 November and the end date is 7 or 22 December, and sometimes it is equated with November , December or January .

The name has its origins in the wolves' ranting season in the winter months, when the animals are easier to hunt.
