The Woraksan is one of the main mountains of the Sobaek Mountains in South Korea with a height of 1093 m .
The ridge of the Woraksan, which runs in a north-south direction, forms the border between the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do in the west and Gyeongsangbuk-do in the east. The mountain is covered with trees, mainly pines, right up to the summit regions. Nevertheless, snow can remain here in some places until summer. In addition, steep rock faces up to 150 meters high can be found here, which gave the mountain its name (German: Mondfelsenberg ).
Hiking trails lead from the northwest, west, south and east to the Woraksan. The surrounding 287.977 km² Woraksan National Park is named after the mountain and is popular with tourists and locals. Many Buddhist shrines can be found here.
