The Journal of Labor and Society (formerly: Working USA: The Journal of Labor and Society , or LANDS for short ) is an American journal in the field of political and social sciences .

The magazine was founded in 1997 and has since been published by Wiley-Blackwell , editor-in-chief is Immanuel Ness , together with Zak Cope . The peer-reviewed journal deals with the world of work from the perspective of occupational sociology and political science, and occasionally also brings historical articles and reviews.
