The World Muaythai Council (WMC) is the world association of Muay Thai ( Thai boxing).
The organization was founded by resolution in 1995 by the Thai House of Representatives, approved by the King of Thailand or his government and registered under the umbrella of the Thai Ministry of Sports and Tourism. The council was commissioned to promote the sport of Muay Thai worldwide or to contribute to its expansion.
