World Peace Prayer Society
The World Peace Prayer Society (WPPS) is a religious-philosophical organization based on the Japanese teacher and poet Masahisa Goi . It is registered with the UN as a non-governmental organization .
history
The group was founded in 1955 by Masahisa Goi . According to its own statement, the World Peace Prayer Society “works for a world in which all cultures, customs, religions, ethnic groups and all forms of life are respected”.
Gois' adopted daughter, Masami Saionji, and her husband Hiroo Saionji continue the work as president and chairperson of the organization.

The office also sells Masami Saionji's German-language books.
Known worldwide, the WPP by erecting was peace piles (Engl. Peace Pole ) in prominent places worldwide. The stake has the words “May Peace prevail on Earth” on the sides in different languages.
criticism
The sect-like Bruno Groening Circle of Friends , an association that pays homage to the miracle healer Bruno Groening , used the UNO status of the WPPS at the beginning of July 2013 for self-expression. The association stated on its homepage that it has received an "international peace award from the United Nations - The World Peace Prayer Society (WPPS) recognizes the more than 30 years of commitment of the Freundeskreis".
The association donated a pillar of peace and there was a small ceremony with the representative of the WPPS near the UN headquarters in New York.
