World Tamil Conference

The World Tamil Conference is a series of irregular conferences aimed at exchanging information on the development of the Tamil language . The conferences are attended by Tamil speakers from all over the world. The conferences take place in various cities in India, but also in other cities that have significant Tamil-speaking populations. The conference serves to emphasize the importance of the Tamil language, but it is also used for election propaganda for politicians from Tamil Nadu . The World Tamil Confederation emerged from the World Tamil Conference in 1999
